你小时候，父母有没有告诉过你什么谎言，而你相信了很久，久到你都不想承认？

When I was 6 years old, my mom bought me a goldfish, his name was King. Some weeks after King arrived we decided to give him some friends, so I ended up with an aquarium with ~15 fish.

我六岁的时候，我妈妈给我买了条金鱼，取名叫国王。国王来了几周后，我们决定给他添几个朋友，所以后来我的鱼缸里有差不多15条鱼。

Every month, one or two fish would die and my mom used to replace them with new ones. After 3 years I lost interest on the aquarium, and my mom stopped buying new fish. The only fish remaining was King, he lived for 3 years!

每个月都有一两条鱼死掉，而我妈妈一般都是用新的鱼来替换它们。三年之后我对那个鱼缸没了兴趣，然后我妈妈也没有再买新的鱼了。最后活下来的鱼只有国王，他活了3年!

15年奋斗造就美丽乡村的奇迹，让国际社会高度赞赏。26日，中国浙江省"千村示范、万村整治"工程荣获联合国"地球卫士奖"。

Zhejiang province was recognized with a Champions of the Earth Award, the United Nation's highest environmental honor, at the UN headquarters in New York on Wednesday.

26日，浙江省在纽约的联合国总部荣获"地球卫士奖"，这是联合国的最高环境荣誉。

联合国"地球卫士奖（Champions of the Earth Award）"于2004年设立，旨在表彰通过自身行动和影响力展现对环境领导力的承诺和愿景的组织或个人。地球卫士奖按成就类别可分为"政策领导力 （policy leadership） 奖、科学与创新（science and innovation）奖、激励与行动（inspiration and action）奖、商界卓识奖、以及终身成就（lifetime achievement）奖"等。获奖者不乏国家领导人，以及来自政界、科学界、商界等各个领域的个人及组织。

浙江"千村示范 万村整治"工程（Zhejiang's Green Rural Revival Program）荣获"2018地球卫士·激励与行动奖"。该工程旨在运用水资源管理、废物管理以及循环利用（water management, waste management, and recycling），以改造该省环境（transform the environment in the province）。

联合国环境署向浙江"千万工程"颁发"地球卫士奖"的颁奖词写道：中国浙江"千村示范 万村整治"工程扎实推进美丽乡村建设，效果显著，将昔日污染严重的河流（once-heavily polluted rivers）改造地潺潺流水清可见底。

此前已经有研究发现干净的牙齿通常意味着干净的肺，至少对于在医院和疗养院的老年人来说是的。

Microbes in saliva that's breathed in were the most likely source of pneumonia, but the identities of the top offenders were yet to be determined.

唾液中的微生物是造成肺炎的最大嫌疑犯，但至于起主导作用的入侵物到底是什么，还有待确认。

日本九州大学的流行病学家 Yoshihisa Yamashita 组建了一个团队，专门研究了唾液中这些可能有风险的微生物。

他们在久山町收集了506位七旬老人口腔里的微生物样本，并在里面发现了两类占主导地位的微生物，其中一种会增加你患肺炎的风险。以前的研究也发现这种微生物在老年人的口腔里更常见。但这还不是全部。

"This bacterial group was more predominant in the elderly with fewer teeth, a higher plaque index, and more dental caries-experienced teeth," says Yamashita.

Yamashita说：“这类细菌在那些牙齿更少的老年人口里更多，而牙齿更少本就预示着疾病更多。这类细菌在那些做过更多牙科处理的人的口腔里也更多。”
